Fried Chicken Sunday’s

Fried Chicken Sunday'sI had a great time for “Fried Chicken Sunday’s” at The Farmhouse at Serenbe today with the girls. We enjoyed their famous fried chicken with kale, squash casserole and rice. We finished it off with delicious strawberry cobbler. We were skeptical about strawberry cobbler, but it was hmm, hmm good. Thanks Lindsay (waitress) for your recommendation. They make their food using ingredients fresh off their farm or neighboring farms. My next trip will be an overnight stay so I can partake in the community where there is shopping, art galleries and spa. You may remember my blog from April about this location. It’s a great place for a business meeting, wedding or party. http://www.serenbefarmhouse.com/

Review of the Ventanas – A Fabulous Gem in Downtown Atlanta

I attended an industry event at Ventanas last night and discovered a fabulous gem in downtown Atlanta. As I was driving I was familiar with the area and as I neared the end of my directions I had no clue where I could possibly be going.  There it was on my right!!  Who knew it was here?  It opened in late 2009, so it’s fairly new.  I parked and found the elevator up.  When I first got off the elevator I entered this extremely dark loft space.  The mood was a bit odd as if I was going to a funeral or something.  However, I think they wanted to create a dramatic effect for us planners.  As time passed they instructed us to make our way to the lower level so the program can start.  As we walked down the stairs to the second level it was as if we left the funeral and entered a party for the resurrected party.  The room was all glass and had stunning views of Atlanta. The light flooded in like the sun bursting through the clouds.  As I made my walk down the stairs I saw a helipad sign.  This would be great for the bride and groom to make their getaway or for the sweet sixteen birthday boy or girl to make an entrance. Very nice hidden gem.  http://ventanasatlanta.com/

Simply the Best Events & Coca Cola

We just finished a very successful event with the Coca-Cola Company. Our task was stage décor for the event. Our stage vision grew out of the bubble theme designed by Interprint for the event invitations. We created custom red drapes which brought boldness to the room and used hanging crystals from 10ft tall structures to signify falling bubbles. One thing that completes a look is lighting. That goes for home décor as well as event décor. The audio visual team, AEE, added gobos and colored lights to set the ambience. It all came together to the satisfaction of the client. Check out our team pulling everything together.
